 Great for Color Dilution Alopecia, 2007-10-02
When our blue, tan and white Chihuahua was two he started losing most of his blue hair. The white and tan sections remained fine. Two local vets were useless, painful tests for mange showed nothing, and many hours of Google searches later we happened upon Color Dilution Alopecia, which affects "blue"-coated dogs. The blue color is a harmless genetic defect that sometimes results in sudden hair loss. The remaining hair is sparse and coarse.
Another website recommended this shampoo and it works really well to keep his skin soft and healthy. It won't bring back his gorgeous blue hair, but Nova Pearls at least keeps him comfortable.

Amazing!, 2007-09-17
I have a now 10 month old Blue Doberman. For those of you unfamiliar with Blue Dobermans, they often have a condition which can cause dulling of their silver-bluish coat and even hair loss. My Dobe's coat was often dry and lacked the luster it normally has. I tried numberous shampoo's before seeing NovaPearls recommended on a web site. I decided to give it a try and am glad I did! I give him a bath about once every week or so and this shampoo is great. It relieves his dry, itchy skin and he shines the entire week afterwards. To this day, I have not had any problems with his coat. I like this product and would recommend it to anyone who owns a dog with dry or itchy skin. I am placing my re-order right now!

Great product!, 2007-07-28
This shampoo is the best!! I own an American Bulldog with mild allergies. His coat would become dry and flakey, esp at certain times of the year. It always seemed to happen just before one of his dog shows. Our Vet recommended using a medicated shampoo, however we discovered that most were too harsh and drying. While they worked fine on the skin irritations, they did nothing to remedy his dull, dry coat. I was using another shampoo, when I happened upon this product. I am so glad I decided to give it a try! Nova Pearls Dandruff formula has really improved the way his coat looks. It really addressed the moisture issue that none of the other products could, while keeping any skin eruptions in check. Every dog is unique, but all I can say is... IT WORKS FOR US! If your dog is plagued with dry, itchy skin, give Nova Pearls Dandruff formula a try. You'll be glad you did!
