Before getting this shampoo, my scalp was always itchy and when i scratched, it would become red, bloody looking and flakes the size of my nails would be coming off. it was terrible but now, it finally cleared up. the only reason i gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because I still have to see if it will continue working, especially now with the summer coming up. 7 of 7 found this review helpful: Best over-the-counter shampoo fro Seborrheic Dermatitus, 2007-01-03 Originally, it was my pharmacist that recommended this shampoo to me. I tried it and it worked. It allowed me to stop using a prescribed steroid on my scalp. (The steroid would have ill side-effects on my scalp if used over an extended period of time.) When the pharmacy later stopped carrying this, I went back to trying other shampoos, with similar ingredients. Nothing worked. Then, I found Beta Med on Amazon, and immediately placed an order. I use it every other day, and my scalp shows no signs of scaling, or itchiness.
